The Magic Coat Foundation
The Magic Coat is an effective social/emotional set of workshops and resources that helps prevent and support children’s mental health between the ages of 4-11 years of age.
While childhood should be carefree and happy, for many children it is not.
Using concepts from CBT and Positive Psychology the analogy of a Magic Coat with characters that live inside the pockets helps make these psychological concepts, concrete and easier to understand for children so that they are able to manage difficult situations and feelings on a day to day basis, building resiliency and coping mechanisms.
While The Magic Coat is a tool for all children, The Magic Coat Foundation ensures that our most vulnerable children have free access to the workshops and resources. The Foundation supports children of prisoners as well as children in refuges, foster care, hospitals and schools.
All children deserve a childhood where joy and happiness can be experienced because a child’s mental health is supported and the Foundation aims to reach as many children as possible, thanks to the generosity and kindness of individuals and organisations wanting to make a difference.
